Georgetown Municipal Court

Reschedule a Court Date

You may request a one-time reset of your court date by submitting a written request to the court no less than 48 hours prior to your scheduled court date. You may submit your request in person, by mail or online.

If you have previously been granted a reset of your court date, you are not guaranteed another. Any and all requests to reset a court date must be supported by documentation and are subject to approval by the Judge.

If your motion is approved, you will receive an email from the Court advising you of your newly scheduled court date. A notice with the new court date will also be mailed and emailed to the requestor 2 weeks prior to the court date.

If your motion is denied, you will receive an email from the Court to let you know that your request has been denied by the Judge.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the Court has your current contact information. It is the responsibility of the defendant or the attorney to follow up with the court to verify if the request has been approved or denied.

Please note: If you have missed your court date or you are in warrant status you need to contact the Court for further instructions. This form CANNOT be used to reschedule after a missed court date or to post bond.
